I’m taking the week off from blogging and reading blogs. I just need a break to think about things outside the web.

Things to think about while you await the return of the daily j.d.a.:

1. What’s the difference between HD-DVD and Blue Ray and which will fail?
2. When has a blog post ever changed your life?
3. How much time do you waste compared to the knowledge you gain by reading blogs?
4. Should I try to sell motask given this data and the fact that it cost me $0 to maintain?
5. Why is the US 1 of only 2 countries that has refused to sign the Convention on the Rights of the Child?
6. If you live in Ohio, why should we not ban smoking next Tuesday? Is your reason one you feel good about?
7. Who will win the NBA championship this year?
8. Why does everyone want a blog anyway?
9. Did I just waste too much time reading this?

Well :)

1. None that you should care about. It is just about which company will collect royalties

2. All the time - reading is englightenment, which is also changing your life :)

3. Quite a bit. Have to be selective with your blogs - I delete much more quickly then I add a feed.

4. Opportunity cost. Depending on the money you get, can it be spent better? Plus this may be about focus - between lopico, motask, studies, etc - what do you really want to grow and excel? You could be just diluting your focus and efforts.

5. The same can be argued about why is it the only industrialized nation without public healthcare. Why is the Kyoto Protocol so scary? It is more of a general issue.

6. Thought I find smoking disgusting, how extended is this ban? Imo, adults should still make their own decisions - alcohol contributes to a lot of death, no one advocates banning it (and yes I understand the differences such as second hand). Do ban smoking in any public place except in your home is what I like :)

7. Suns. From next season its all LeBron.

8. Because being cool and bandwagon-jumping has been around since caveman times.

re #4: You’re right in that it’s about focus, I can’t do what I’d like to with motask. But I gave myself 2 months to make a decision, now I think it’s time to move on.

re #6: It is a public ban, not a complete ban I should have specified.

re #7: Craziness, the Suns can’t win in the playoffs.
